LATEST | Allvin announces roster move: Confirming two players status
The Canucks have activated Carson Soucy off of IR after almost two months of injury.
In a subsequent move, the team moved Phillip Di Giuseppe to long-term injured reserve.
Soucy hasn't played since November 12, after blocking a shot in a game against the Montreal Canadiens.
The 29 year old defenceman signed a 3 year deal at $3.25 million per year in the offseason, and had 5 points in 13 games before being injured.
Soucy will draw into the lineup on Saturday night against New Jersey, giving Canucks fans the first look at a fully healthy Vancouver blue line since acquiring Nikita Zadorov.
Di Giuseppe will miss at least 10 games or 24 days after being placed on LTIR.
There has been no confirmation on lineup for tonight, but it's expected Soucy will replace Noah Juulsen.
