Canucks GM, Patrik Allvin, spoke to the media ahead of the Canucks game in Philly, highlighted in a tweet (Post) by the Canucks Twitter (x) account.

Allvin starts the interview by speaking about the Canucks recent trade with the Penguins that netted the Canucks depth defenseman, Mark Freidman and forward, Ty Glover.

In the trade, the Canucks traded Jack Rathbone, The 24-year-old 2019 4th-round pick.
Allvin said of the move, "...It's been a tough couple of years for him (Rathbone) in Vancouver...I felt...a change of scenery for him...he's a good kid."

Later in the interview, Allvin is asked if there could be more movement, to which he responds.
"...I think so...we gotta see Soucy, who is a game-time decision...after the game, we will make some decisions..."

Allvin mentions that Friedman could be a seventh defenseman for the Canucks as they look to work out the cap. The Canucks still have moves to make as the season continues. If Friedman were to join the NHL squad, it may indicate that one of Noah Juulsen or Akito Hirose could be going down to the Abbotsford.
