LATEST | An exciting release has been made regarding Arturs Silovs' highlights
On Tuesday morning, the International Ice Hockey Federation released a video of Vancouver Canucks prospect Arturs Silovs, who participated at the most recent World Championships back in May.
TThe video, which can be seen below, highlights Arturs Silovs' best saves and moments during the 2023 IIHF World Hockey Championship. It also includes an incredible stop he made during the third period during a preliminary round game against Slovenia.
Silovs had an incredible tournament for Latvia. After leading Latvia to their first-ever medal at the tournament as an independent nation, Silovs was named the best goaltender of the World Championship and the Media All-Star Team. To cap things off, he was named MVP.
The Ventspils native finished the tournament with a record of 7-2, with a 2.20 goals against average, a .921 save percentage and one shutout.
The World Championship gave Silovs plenty of confidence heading into the 2023-24 season, and it's going to be interesting to see how he does in the American Hockey League with the Abbotsford Canucks this year.
