It's been nearly five months since Vancouver Canucks defenceman Tyler Myers stepped onto the ice in Finland, representing Canada at the World Championship.

Myers played a vital role for Canada and helped them win their 28th gold medal in World Championship history and their second title in three years.

"I even had a couple of questions about it when I was there before we made the medal round," Myers told IIHF.com. "To know I had a chance at joining that list was pretty exciting for me, and then we got it done. It was an amazing experience. The guys were unbelievable. We had a perfect combination of having fun and being there to work and win."

On Tuesday, the International Ice Hockey Federation posted on their social media accounts highlighting what Tyler Myers did for Canada at the tournament.

The IIHF also mentioned that Tyler Myers became only the fifth Canadian to win a gold medal at the U18 tournament, World Junior Championship and World Championship.

"Tyler Myers made magical memories when @hockeycanada won gold medals at the 2023 #IIHFWorlds.🇨🇦🤩

He became only fifth Canadian who had won gold medals at the IIHF U18 Men's Worlds, World Juniors, and World Championship.👏 @Canucks"

With a robust World Championship behind him, it will be interesting to see what Myers will do for the Canucks this season as he enters the final year of his contract.
