It's only been three games since his return, so the production still isn't where the Canucks would like, but on the defensive side of the puck, Suter looks strong and has been given plenty of opportunity to shine, especially on Sunday where he had 18:19 time on ice, his second-highest of the season.
Over the weekend, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet was full of praise for Pius Suter in his return from injury, saying that his strong hockey IQ is showing and that they're satisfied with what he brought to his first game back on Thursday against Florida.
Suter, 27, signed a two-year deal with the Vancouver Canucks in the summer worth $3.2 million. So far this season, the Zurich, Switzerland native has put up five points (four goals, one assist), four penalty minutes and is a plus-five in 18 games.
