LATEST | Canucks highlight top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimaki after dominant outing at the World Juniors
All eyes have been turned on Jonathan Lekkerimaki since the season started, and with reason. With ten goals and 16 points in 24 SHL games, he's currently why he deserves to be considered as one of the best forwards of his age.
ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY AT THE WORLD JUNIORS FOR THE SWEDE?
Lekkerimaki comes to the World Juniors with baggage; the forward represented his country the two previous years. Not only will he be one of the Swedes' biggest offensive threats, but some experts even expect him to be the best forward at this year's event.
Lekkerimaki responded well in the Swedes' first outing. He scored on two opportunities and was a constant threat on the ice.
The Canucks highlighted their prospect's performances on their social platforms:
The Swedes will be playing the Germans next on Thursday, the 28th. Lekkerimaki will be given another opportunity to show the improvements he brought to his game.
