With the preseason in full swing across all three leagues in the CHL, several Vancouver Canucks prospects are getting in the action, including Kitchener Rangers defenceman Hunter Brzustewicz.
During a powerplay on Friday night against the Brantford Bulldogs, who've temporarily relocated from Hamilton, Hunter Brzustewicz found the back of the net.
The 18-year-old had a strong rookie campaign in the OHL in 2022-23 after he decided to decommited from the University of Michigan. In 68 games for the Kitchener Rangers last season, Brzustewicz had 57 points (six goals, 51 assists), 12 penalty minutes and was a plus-eight.
It's going to be interested to see how Brzustewicz tops what he did during his rookie season, but it's safe to say that if he'll be a big part of any success the Kitchener Rangers have this season as they look to win their first OHL Championship since 2008.
