Vancouver Canucks prospect Jonathan Lekkerimaki played a big role in Sweden's semi-final win over Czechia.

Lekkerimaki scored a pair of goals to put Sweden into their first Gold Medal Game at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships since 2018.

Following the game, Jonathan Lekkerimaki was given a very big honour as he was named one of Sweden's three-best players of the tournament by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

Lekkerimaki, along with his fellow Canucks prospects Tom Willander and Elias Pettersson, will take on either the United States or Finland in the Gold Medal Game on Friday on TSN.
