LATEST | Canucks send shot at Connor Bedard before they meet for the first time
On Sunday afternoon, Bedard suited up in his first-ever matchup against his hometown team, the Vancouver Canucks.
The Canucks' social media team took the opportunity to send a shot at the rookie before the puck drop on Sunday, saying that Bedard's loyalties still lie at home in Vancouver.
Bedard grew up in North Vancouver, playing hockey for West Vancouver Academy Prep of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League before moving on to the Regina Pats.
Two frames into the game on Sunday, the rookie scoring leader had added an assist as the Canucks led 4-2.
Bedard isn't set to first appear in Vancouver until January 22.
