LATEST | Canucks share Andrei Kuzmenko and Ilya Mikheyev's summer prowess
There's no arguing this take; the Canucks found a gem in Andrei Kuzmenko, and the way he performed in his first NHL season was huge amidst the Canucks' retooling.
Not only did the fans fall in love with his game and goal-scoring touch, but they also learned to love his personality. The Canucks' winger has been very active during the summer, sharing the many feats of his vacations/training. The Canucks shared, via their Twitter account, a picture of his and Ilya Mikheyev's summer prowess.
It appears that not only does the chemistry operate between the two Russian wingers on the ice, but it also operates off the ice:
Kuzmenko inked a 2-year extension worth $11M after putting up 39 goals and 74 points in 81 games. Mikheyev, on his end, managed 28 points in 46 outings. They'll both look to improve their numbers alongside the Swede centerman Elias Pettersson.
The stats showed that their line was one of the NHL's best at 5-on-5, can they do it again under the new coaching staff? To see that the two are spending time together outside of their time at the rink demonstrates great chemistry, and hopefully, that transpires with the rest of the team!
