LATEST | Elias Pettersson & Quinn Hughes are continuing to prove people wrong
One year ago, TSN made a list of the top-ten players 24 and under and it included a pair of Vancouver Canucks - Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes.
Elias Pettersson came in at sixth on TSN's list, while Quinn Hughes landed in the ninth spot and in the year that's passed since they released the list, the Canucks duo has proven the network wrong.
Ever since that list was released, Elias Pettersson leads the way in points among those included with 106. Meanwhile, Quinn Hughes, who had three defencemen ahead of him on the list - Cale Makar (1st), Rasmus Dahlin (5th) and Miro Heiskanen (8th), sits fourth in points over the last year among those included with 90.
"Point leaders since this list:
Pettersson: 106 points
J. Hughes: 98 points
Robertson: 93 points
Q. Hughes: 90 points
Makar: 77 points
Heiskanen: 70 points
Tkachuk: 70 points
Dahlin: 63 points
Suzuki: 59 points

Pettersson and Hughes have played huge roles this season in helping the Canucks be as successful as they've been over the first two months of the 2023-24 campaign. Quinn Hughes leads all defenceman in the National Hockey League in points, while Elias Pettersson is tied for sixth in points with William Nylander with 38.
It's nice to see Pettersson and Hughes perform as well as they've been this season and that people across the hockey world are starting to take notice of the Vancouver Canucks, who sit second in the Pacific Division and Western Conference.
