LATEST | Extremely promising statement on one of the Canucks late draft picks: They landed the real deal
This is not the first time the Canucks have been praised for that specific draft selection. Every hockey personnel that encountered this particular young man shared the same beliefs. Now, a new source has made a statement in that regard.
Aidan Celibrini is about to make his NCAA debut at Boston University, and the Terrier's Head Coach, Jay Pandolfo, is ecstatic about having him on his team. He was on Sekeres and Price earlier this week and shared his views on this young man:
"His work ethic is off the charts...he's going to be a d-man that's hard to play against...his offence is getting better...he's got the right mindset."
The Canucks selected the Vancouver native with the 171st overall pick in the 2023 Amateur Draft (6th Round), and he's one of the prospects we've heard the most about. From the team's development staff during the summer camp, to his previous coaches in Brooks (AJHL) to now his future coach in the NCAA.
Already viewed as an excellent modern-day defensive d-man, everyone agrees that Celibrini as the ability to develop his offensive game and it may just be what he lacks to be considered a top-end prospect.
