LATEST | Insider confirms the rumours regarding Allvin and his interest in a forty-goal scorer
Patrik Allvin is going to be one of the busier General Managers over the next couple of months as we head towards the trade deadline on Friday, March 8th.
It's been known for quite a while now that the Vancouver Canucks are in the market for a top-six forward as they look to return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2020.
On today's edition of 'Donnie & Dhali', Rick Dhaliwal confirmed that the Vancouver Canucks will be interested in former 40-goal scorer Jake Guentzel, who's currently with the Pittsburgh Penguins, if he becomes available.
Dhaliwal also mentioned that the Canucks are on Guentzel's no-trade list, but believes he will waive it in a potential deal to Vancouver.
"Dhaliwal basically confirming Canucks will be interested in Guentzel if he becomes available.
Canucks are on his no trade list but Dhaliwal doesn't think that will be an issue and he will waive.
Price is going to be really high if he becomes available."
Guentzel, 29, has appeared in 36 games for the Penguins this season where he's recorded 42 points (17 goals, 25 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a plus-ten. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
