On Friday afternoon, the National Hockey League announced a change to an upcoming Vancouver Canucks game.

The league announced that Vancouver's game on Tuesday, Oct. 17, against the Philadelphia Flyers has been pushed ahead by one hour from 7 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET, which means puck drop for those in British Columbia will be shortly after 3 p.m. PT.
"The National Hockey League announced today a start time change to the 2023-24 regular-season schedule:

- Game #42, Vancouver Canucks at Philadelphia Flyers, scheduled for Oct. 17, will now begin at 6 p.m. ET," The NHL's Public Relations account said.

Tuesday's game in Philadelphia is the Flyers' home opener, but there has been no official reason for the change from the National Hockey League.
The Canucks are set to begin their five-game road trip tomorrow in Edmonton against the Oilers before flying to Philadelphia. They'll also face Tampa Bay, Florida and Nashville on the road trip before returning home to Vancouver to play St. Louis on Friday, Oct. 27.
