The National Hockey League Players Association honoured Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson on Friday after a productive week on the ice.
After putting up seven goals and 12 points, Pettersson has been named NHLPA Player of the Week for January 5th to 11th.
"Mr. Seal the Deal 🚨
Scoring 4 straight GWG to place him one away from tying an NHL record, @_EPettersson's league-leading performance also helped the @Canucks stay near the top of the standings as our NHLPA Player of the Week." The NHLPA said.
In Vancouver's four games between January 5th and 11th, the Canucks went 4-0-0 and a big reason for the success on the road trip thus far has been Elias Pettersson.
During those four wins, Pettersson had two four-point games, 11 even-strength points, four-straight game-winning goals, which is tied for second-longest in National Hockey League history.
Pettersson and the Canucks will be back in action on Saturday afternoon as they face the Buffalo Sabres. Puck drop is set for 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET.
