LATEST | Sportsnet makes four different trade proposals for the Canucks and Conor Garland
Earlier this month, the Vancouver Canucks granted Conor Garland and his new permission to speak with other teams about a potential trade. Since then, multiple organizations have been linked to the 27-year-old.
The first team that Sportsnet mentions is a fellow Canadian franchise, the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets could use some scoring punch, depth-wise, especially after the injury to Gabe Vilardi. Here's Sportsnet's potential trade between Winnipeg and Vancouver.
The second team is the Nashville Predators, who, much like the Winnipeg Jets, have been linked to Garland since he hit the trade market a couple of weeks ago. There's no question that the Canucks would like to add another defenceman to their roster, and that's precisely what would happen in Sportsnet's potential trade between Nashville and Vancouver.
To Vancouver: Dante Fabbro (D).
To Nashville: Conor Garland (F).
Up next is the Washington Capitals, who've entered the Conor Garland sweepstakes within the last week to ten days. Sportsnet's potential trade between the two teams also included the Montreal Canadiens, who would send a defenceman to the Canucks in the deal.
To Vancouver: Justin Barron (D).
To Washington: Connor Garland (F).
To Montreal: Anthony Mantha & Washington's first-round pick in 2024 or 2025.
The final team mentioned is the Columbus Blue Jackets, another group we've heard plenty about in the running for Conor Garland. The Blue Jackets have plenty of NHL-calibre defencemen on their roster, with
Andrew Peeke returning to Vancouver in Sportsnet's potential deal.
To Vancouver: Andrew Peeke (D) & 2024 third-round pick (via Los Angeles).
To Columbus: Connor Garland (F).
