The Canucks may have to move some players they don't want to if they plan to acquire Jake Guentzel.

The team has identified prospects Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Tom Willander as untouchables, hoping to improve their roster without shipping out either of their blue chip prospects.

Insider Rick Dhaliwal says if Guentzel is available, which isn't even a certainty, the Penguins would be asking for one of the Canucks two top prospects.

If you go for Guentzel you know who they're going to ask for? They're going to ask for Lekkerimäki and Willander.

Dhaliwal says the Canucks are reluctant to move those two players, and would more be looking at using prospects like Podkolzin, Raty and Klimovich as trade chips.

He said the team needs to decide whether or not Guentzel is a long-term fit or just a rental when putting assets on the table.
