As the Canucks continue to explore options for defencemen, specifically right side defenceman, one place to look could be Nashville.

With Ryan McDonagh returning from injury after a 7 game absence, the Predators will be scratching former first rounder Dante Fabbro to make room for the veteran.
Fabbro, a native of Coquitlam, BC, was the 17th overall selection in 2016, becoming a staple on Nashville's blueline in 2019-20.
His minutes have taken a hit in the last two years, and a healthy scratch doesn't exactly bode well for the 25 year old's future on Broadway.
With the Preds generally playing McDonagh on his offside with Roman Josi, the right side of Nashville's D is crowded and with offseason addition and former Canuck Luke Schenn resuming skating this week, the glut is soon to increase.
The Predators currently sit 5 points outside of a playoff spot, so if they're making room on the backend they may look to move pending UFAs Tyson Barrie or Alexandre Carrier before Fabbro.
If Nashville decides to dangle Fabbro in trade talks however, the Canucks will almost certainly make a call.
