Canucks prospect Jonathan Lekkerimäki has been named the MVP of the World Junior Championship.
The 15th overall pick from 2022 led the hosts Sweden to a silver medal with 10 points, including 7 goals.
Lekkerimäki and Sweden were trampled by Team USA in the gold medal game, but the Swedish winger was a force all tournament, adding a power play goal in the loss.
Lekkerimäki finished in 4th in total points in the tournament and tied for 1st with USA's Isaac Howard -who scored two on Thursday- for goals.
He will return to finish out his season in Sweden with Orebro before challenging for a roster spot with Vancouver next season.
