SIGNING ALERT | Former Canucks forward signs with the Boston Bruins
Former Vancouver Canucks forward Alex Chiasson is looking to earn a contract for the 2023-24 season.
On Monday, it was announced that Chiasson had agreed to a professional try-out contract (PTO) with the Boston Bruins.
Chiasson, 32, spent the 2021-22 season with the Vancouver Canucks, where he put up 22 points (13 goals, nine assists), 24 penalty minutes and was a plus-five in 67 games.
Last season, the Montreal native started off in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins, before signing an NHL contract with the Detroit Red Wings in March, appearing in 20 games for them during the remainder of the campaign.
