Soucy and Mikheyev back with the squad; Studnicka's place in the line revealed
The Vancouver Canucks are seeing some progress in terms of injuries. In Game one of the season against Edmonton, The Canucks had a lot of players missing and ended up being down a man on the roster. On Thursday, the Canucks re-called Jack Studnicka on an emergency basis.
Today, Carson Soucy and Ilya Mikheyev both returned to practice. Soucy is considered "week-to-week" but is seemingly progressing well. Mikheyev suffered from a knee injury last season that ended his season. He was limited in camp and is slowly working his way to being healthy.
According to a post by Brendan Batchelor, Canucks play-by-play commentator, slots Jack Studnicka on the 4th line along side Nils Hoglander and Sam Lafferty. Studnicka will look to play a strong two-way game as he attempts to prove himself worthy of staying in the NHL.
The Canucks play again rematch the Oilers on Saturday at 7pm PT.
