Brock Boeser's season was cut short ahead of Game 7 of Vancouver's second round series against the Edmonton Oilers after it was discovered he had a blood clot in a deep vein of his leg.
In the months since being diagnosed with a blood clot, Boeser has improved and is at the point where he no longer needs to take medication and is able to take contact during upcoming practices during training camp, leading to him being available for preseason games.
When speaking at the Canucks' annual charity golf tournament, Boeser told reporters the precautions he'll need to take while traveling on the team's flights while on the road.
Boeser said that he'll need to make sure he's moving around and not falling asleep, along with wearing compression and using Normatec boots.
The 2024-25 campaign is set to be a big one for Brock Boeser. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer and will be looking to sign a contract extension with the Canucks at some point during the year.
Boeser is also coming off a 40-goal season, the most he's ever had in a single season during his time in the NHL and if he's able to replicate that success in 2024-25, then he'll put himself in a good position for a big pay raise.
