The Abbotsford Canucks posted on their Instagram a heartfelt celebratory post, announcing that the 23-year-old forward got engaged to his long time girlfriend Raman Rai.

It is not easy to be married or involved with a professional hockey player, their schedules call for a lot of commitment and trust as they spend a lot of time on the road away from home.

Highly touted coming into this season, Bains has bounced from the AHL to the NHL on multiple occasions, but spending most of his time with the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League.
The with the massive depth the Canucks have, it has been difficult for Bains to solidify himself as an everyday player.
As a Surrey, British Columbia native, Bains is already a major fan favorite and it constantly looking to try and crack the NHL roster.
In 11 games for Abbotsford, he has become a point-per-game player, scoring 2 goals and 9 assists for 11 points.
