Canucks issue a statement regarding assistant coach Adam Foote
The Canucks made an important change in their coaching staff over a year ago, and since then, it paid off.
Foote played a vital part in the Canucks ascension to the NHL's top tier, participating in the development of their structure and defensive strategies. Foote's experience, expertise and teaching have helped some of the Canucks' best defenders to career years. Both Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek improved to numbers they had never reached, Tyler Myers finally found a role suited for his set of abilities and their all due, in parts, to Foote's work.
Earlier, the Canucks issued a statement on their assistant coach wishing him a happy 53rd birthday.
Join us in wishing Assistant Coach Adam Foote a happy birthday! 🥳
The members of the Canucks Daily thank Mr. Foote for his contribution to the team's success and the part he played in some of the Canucks' key players development. We wish him a happy birthday with his loved ones.
Hopefully, the Canucks find a way to keep him around for years to come so he can share his knowledge to many generations of Canucks' defencemen.
