Chaos Unfolds as Canucks Announcer is Attacked Live on Air By Fan
An Abbotsford Canucks broadcaster was attacked by a fan during Monday afternoon's winner-take-all Game Five against the Colorado Eagles in Loveland, Colorado.
Monday afternoon saw the Abbotsford Canucks and Colorado Eagles battle in an important winner-take-all Game Five, with the Texas Stars awaiting the team who came out on top in the Western Conference Final.
Abbotsford would go on to win Game 5 by a score of 5-0, thanks to a 34-save shutout from Arturs Silovs, but during Monday's contest a scary incident happened in the broadcast booth with one of the Canucks' announcers.

Late in the first period after the Canucks took a 2-0 lead, Abbotsford announcer Brandon Astle was attacked by a fan who somehow got into the broadcast booth.
The fan was chirping Astle after throwing the broadcaster's chair at him and it was all caught on audio as the puck dropped following Phillip Di Giuseppe's goal.
"Got some yahoo chirping at me from behind. Get out of here. What was he doing? Security! Try that again." Astle said.
He added, "I'm fired up. He threw my chair at me, hit me right in the back of my leg, like what was he doing here? Unreal. Have another beer."

After the game, Astle posted on social media where he shared that he was okay, and that the fan, who was eventually found and kicked out, doesn't represent the Colorado Eagles organization and their fan base.
"I could have handled this better, but was in shock & fired up as you can tell, as that has never happened to me beforeI know that one yahoo does not reflect the Eagles organization or their fans & apparently was found and kicked out." Astle said.
Hopefully, the Colorado Eagles and American Hockey League will deal with this situation accordingly and that the fan will receive some sort of ban from attending games in the future.
Astle will be back in the booth on Thursday as the Abbotsford Canucks begin their first-ever Western Conference Final, where they'll face the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars.
