Craig Button calls out Elias Pettersson and Mitch Marner big time

Elias Pettersson has been quiet so far for the Canucks, and the only player seemingly taking as much criticism is Mitch Marner. Two superstar making the big bucks, they've been taking lots of heat on two of the NHL's hottest markets.
On the Donnie and Dhali podcast, TSN's Craig Button compared the underwhelming playoffs so far for both players and said they're being paid the big bucks to step up - and need to. Button didn't mince his words when he was asked to comment on the two superstars' performances.
It's not so much that he (EP) can be a factor; he needs to be a factor, and he hasn't been one.
Pettersson has just 2 assists, while Marner has 2 assists and a goal.
Button said both players have been "terrible".
He (Marner( has been the invisible man, he's been terrible, just like Pettersson's been terrible...
Marner and the Leafs try to stave off elimination tonight against the Bruins, while the Canucks try to knock out Nashville on Friday night. The good news for Pettersson in this case is that the rest of the team has been able to carry the load while Marner and his troops have had a harder time competing with the Big Bad Bruins.
Hopefully, Pettersson wakes up and carries the Canucks through the second round, where a much bigger test awaits them, as the Oilers just overcame the Kings in five games.
