Frank Seravalli says Vancouver Canucks locker room reaction to J.T Miller trade is not good
NHL Insider Frank Seravalli says that even though Miller is gone, which was supposed to put an end to the culture issues within the room, it may not actually have the desired effect general manager Patrik Allvin is hoping for.
Seravalli says that many players are not happy that the team traded away debatably their best forward, and that this trade is jot at all what anyone but Pettersson wanted.
Frank Seravalli on SN960 just said that his understanding is "a lot of players on Vancouver are very upset about the Miller trade, and that this wasn't the move they wanted".
Don't expect the locker room issues to stop
Another layer that will only add fuel to the fire is that Elias Pettersson will now be under the microscope of fans and media more than ever, and it is well documented that EP40 doesn't respond well to that attention.
He will now have to step up and showcase that he can be the number one forward on the team, and if not, the issues will only grow larger.
Even GM Patrik Allvin has told the media that all eyes are now on Pettersson, and that expectations are overwhelming from him, the team and fans.
GM Allvin: «My expectation is higher on him than anyone else on our team, and I expect him to meet my expectation, and I expect him to meet his own expectation. And so far, he has not.»
