An announcement was made this week regarding Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes and his chances to take home the Norris Trophy for the 2025-26 season.

Since joining the Vancouver Canucks at the end of the 2018-19 season, captain Quinn Hughes has quickly become one of the best defensemen in the National Hockey League.
After a 92-point campaign in 2023-24, Hughes won the Norris Trophy as the league's best defenseman in his first time being nominated for the award, following that up with with a third-place finish this past season.
As Hughes' quest for a fourth straight 75+ point campaign begins in a matter of weeks, the Canucks captain will have his sights once again on being nominated for the Norris Trophy and this week, odds for could take home this season's award were released.

Vancouver Canucks' Quinn Hughes mentioned in 2025-26 Norris Trophy odds

In a social media post on Tuesday, PlayNow Sports released their odds for the 2025-26 Norris Trophy and to no one's surprise, Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes has a pretty good chance of taking it home this season.
Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar, who won the award this past season and has taken it home twice in his career thus far, was given the best odds by PlayNow Sports, sitting at +135.
Not far behind him is Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes, who is looking to make it three years in a row with at least a top-three finish in award voting, with his odds at winning the trophy this year coming in at +200.
Zach Werenski of the Columbus Blue Jackets had a fantastic year, setting a new career-high in points, earning himself a second place finish in Norris Trophy voting and this time around, he has the third best odds at +1000.
Adam Fox of the New York Rangers (+1600), Miro Heiskanen of the Dallas Stars (+2000) and Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin (+2200) round out the top-six from PlayNow Sports.
There's no doubt Quinn Hughes is going to be a finalist for the Norris Trophy this season, especially if he hit the 75+ point mark again, and if he's able to elevate his game to an entirely new level this year, there's a very good chance he could have his name etched onto the award for the second time in his young career.
