In a recent development has indicated that Toronto Maple Leafs Teammates of Mitch Marner have leaked where the superstar forward will be signing this offseason, and it is with a Western Conference team.
With only two weeks until free-agency officially commences for teams to try and make big upgrades to their roster, the biggest story heading into the summer is that of Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner.
In a highly shared social media post on Friday afternoon, reporter Andy Strickland of the Cam and Strick Podcast and FanDuel Sports Network broke that Mitch Marner will not be returning to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
"Can confirm Mitch Marner will not be returning to Toronto. Will be playing for a new team come next season. #LeafsForever" Strickland said.
Mitch Marner's current teammate's believe he will be signing with a Western Conference Team
Obviously, most of the reports have indicated that the Canucks are not even close to Marner's radar when it comes to teams he is willing to sign with, but a new development from his current teammates indicates their still is a small chance.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman broke on his 32 Thoughts podcast that Marner's Maple Leafs teammates strongly believe that he will be signing with a Western Conference team this summer.

In the last few weeks, the 28 year old star winger has been linked to a number of teams in the Western Conference including the Chicago Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights.
But, you best believe that with his desire to play out West, Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin will be putting together a big offer for him.
