Important announcement regarding Canucks prospect Jett Woo: Contract extended
It's officially contract extension season and Patrik Allvin has been reporting for duty for the Canucks.
The Canucks' General Manager announced multiple contract extensions this week and the team just announced another. Allvin announced that the Canucks had inked the team's 2018 second round pick to a one year, two-way deal. Jett Woo will be back for, at least, another season within the organization.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announces that the #Canucks have agreed to terms with defenceman Jett Woo on a one-year, two-way contract.
Woo spent the majority of the past four seasons with the team's AHL affiliate. He now has 200 AHL regular season games and could be making his NHL debut as soon as this season. The prospect earned two call-ups with the big club but has yet to participate in a game.
While he has not yet lived up to the expectations that came with the 37th overall selection back in 2018, he's been progressing ever since he made the jump to professional hockey and could cause a surprise when comes training camp.
