Important update in regards to Thatcher Demko's health: On the right track
The Canucks went without their star goaltender during the playoffs. Thatcher Demko was sidelined with an injury and an important update was just given on his rehabilitation.
Demmer had his best season to date, the Canucks' netminder was an astonishing force between the pipes and his efforts were recognized as he finished second for the Vezina Trophy given to the NHL's top goaltender. A few injuries held him back a bit during the season, but the biggest actually stroke when the playoffs started. The netminder was pulled from the lineup after one game and could've been ready for a comeback only during the conference finals.
On Canucks Central earlier, the star netminder's health status was up for discussion and they ended up stating that the consensus within the Canucks' organization was that the big 35 would be all set to take his net back when training camp starts:
''There do seem to be some questions about where he's at now and whether different things might have to happen between now and then. But the consensus seems to be he will be ready for training camp.''
While Silovs played great during the playoffs, the Demko impact could've been the difference maker in the Canucks' cup run. Hopefully Demko comes back and picks it up right where he left off.
