JT Miller praises Thatcher Demko with a bold comparison
While he's still got a long way to go in his career, Vancouver Canucks' goalie Thatcher Demko is earning comparisons to some of the greatest goaltenders in NHL history.
Asked by reporters about what makes Thatcher Demko special, Canucks' forward JT Miller says the 28 year old reminds him of his former teammates: two of the greatest goaltenders of recent history.
Miller says he's been lucky to play in front of Vasilevskiy and Lundqvist, one of whom is already a hall of famer while the other is a surefire first ballot HOFer when he retires.
According to him, however, Thatcher Demko is cut from the same cloth.
The Canucks are glad to have such a high level goaltender, and they hope he can be the difference that takes them all the way this spring.
