Last minute announcement: Bad news for Tyler Myers
In a surprising series events after netminder Thatcher Demko was unexpectedly ruled out for Game 2 and potentially the remainder of the series, defenseman Tyler Myers has been ruled out. This comes as a last-minute decision prior to their second game of the series against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.
His absence, in addition to Demko's, was noticeable at the team's optional morning skate. Interestingly, Noah Juulsen was skating in his usual place. This comes after head coach Rick Tocchet told the media that they should not expect any lineup changes entering Game 2.
The Canucks took Game 1 by a score of 4-2, after coming back from down a goal in the third period. Dakota Joshua recorded three points, and Quinn Hughes recorded two assists.
We will have to wait for the team to provide a status update on the towering defenseman.
