As the NHL Trade Deadline approaches, more and more players are subject of circling rumours around the league regarding their trade status. Teams falling out of the playoff picture will look to deal certain players for young players, picks, and prospects.

One name that has been in the trade circles of the league is Nashville Predators defender Alexandre Carrier. The 27-year old Québec City native has 14 points in 46 games this season. He posted a career-high 30 points in 2021-2022. He was also notably protected by the Predators during the Seattle Kraken expansion draft over much bigger names such as then-Pred Ryan Johansen.

As his name circles the trade rumours around the league, an insider has named eight potential fits for the defender — including the Vancouver Canucks. Other clubs named included Stanley Cup hopefuls such as Edmonton, Vegas, Toronto, and Florida.
