The Canucks have been rumoured to be on the market for another top-six forward even though they had just acquired the most sought-after forward, Elias Lindholm.

After the All-Star Game, where Rick Toccchet notably matched Elias Pettersson and the Ducks' winger Frank Vatrano, the rumour mill picked right up, suggesting that it was a sign the Canucks were just about to pick him up.

INSIDER GIVES THE VERDICT ON VATRANO AND THE CANUCKS

Rick Dhaliwal finally gave the update everybody had been waiting for on the subject and confirmed the Canucks would not be pursuing the Ducks' scoring winger:

Vatrano, 29, was the Ducks' representative at the All-Star Game and has now scored 22 goals and 36 points after 50 games. He would have an intriguing pick-up for the Canucks, but it appears that Allvin is no longer interested in giving up futures for what could wind up being rentals.
