The Abbotsford Canucks are expected to add Elias Pettersson to their roster ahead of a push towards the AHL playoffs.
An no, not that Elias Pettersson.
The 6'2 defenceman was picked in the 3rd round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft and has become one of the Canucks top prospects.
Insider Rick Dhaliwal says according to Pettersson's agent, the player could be joining Abbotsford as soon as next week.
While the team stood pat on deadline day after getting their moves out of the way early, they also managed to retain Pettersson and their other two top prospects, Jonathan Lekkerimaki and Tom Willander.
Pettersson will join the AHL Canucks as they make a push for the Calder Cup.
