Vancouver Canucks defensive prospect Tom Willander has earned a big honour for a strong freshman campaign with Boston University in the NCAA.

Boston University's conference, Hockey East, announced on Friday that Tom Willander has been named a Second-Team All-Star for the 2023-24 season.

Joining Willander on as Second-Team All-Stars are Arizona Coyotes prospect Michael Hrabel, Washington Capitals prospect Ryan Leonard, Carolina Hurricanes prospect Bradly Nadeau, New York Rangers prospect Gabe Perreault and Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Eamon Powell.

Willander has been solid on the blueline for Boston University this season, putting up 21 points (four goals, 17 assists), ten penalty minutes and is a plus-24.

The Stockholm, Sweden native and the rest of Boston University have a big game coming up tomorrow as they face Northeastern in the Hockey East Tournament Quarterfinals.
