New Development Names Minnesota Wild Star Prime Offseason Target For the Vancouver Canucks

After what was an extremely exciting offseason with huge expectations, the Vancouver Canucks are now sitting at home watching other NHL clubs compete for the Stanley Cup.

The Canucks have already begun making big moves the offseason as they promoted assistant coach Adam Foote to head coach amid Rick Tocchet parting ways with the organization and singing shortly after with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Now, after an embarrassing year filled with drama, injuries and a lack of production, General Manager Patrik Allvin is gearing up for a big offseason, searching for answers in the forward group.

One key area of concern is with their second line center, as it is reported that Brock Boeser will be testing the market as a free-agent, essentially sealing his fate with the Canucks.

With that in mind, Some drama has come out of Minnesota, where young star Marco Rossi was unhappy about his role with the team, especially after scoring 60 points.

He voiced his displeasure at the end of the season with the following comments..

As a forward who spent time as the Wild's #1 center for the majority of the season, if a deal could be made, Rossi would jump right in and alternate on the top two lines as the teams top forward up the middle.

Looking at all the available UFA's and players on the trade block, Rossi seems like the most sense for Allvin and the Canucks to target.
