Nikita Zadorov takes a shot at the Canucks for their handling of Elias Lindholm
The Canucks lost two big pieces to the Bruins on free agency when both Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm signed in Boston.
Both Zadorov and Lindholm went after the money as they signed hefty multi-million offers. The Canucks couldn't more out of their investment after trading away five asset to acquire him from the Flames.
By the looks of it, the intel coming from Nikita Zadorov suggests that Elias Lindholm didn't feel like he was used in a role that properly suited his skill set and abilities. It seems like he may be putting his production decrease on this particular reason.
Zadorov fires at the Canucks for how they played Lindholm
Zadorov has been getting lots of interviews as the team's newest jewel and was asked to speak about his teammate:
"It's a new opportunity for him. He got traded to Vancouver, he kind of didn't play the role he fits, I feel like. So in here, I feel like he can come back to his version when he was in Calgary with top line, top penalty kill and everything"
Known to be a high end producer and a 'go-to'' type of guy, it definitely was a different scenario for Lindholm and possibly the reason for his departure from Vancouver.
Looking back, do you feel like the Canucks could have managed Lindholm differently? Should they have used is skilled in a different manner?
