Not Good - Vancouver Canucks' Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes Missing From Practice Today
After reports indicated that the injuries to Vancouver Canucks superstars Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson were not too serious, Canucks Practice today may be telling a whole other story.
Before the holiday break starting, both Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson were clearly battling some ailments, where fans hopes these few days off would do them good.
Hughes was questionable to play against the Sharks before the break, and Pettersson left the game in the third period.
Although NHL insider Elliott's Friedman gave an update today, indications the injuries to the two stars was not going to keep them out long term, after Canucks brutal defeat to the Kraken last night, they need them back desperately.
»They are not considered to be long-term injuries,» Friedman said. «Don't want to give you an exact timeline, because I'm not sure. Hopefully, that's some good news for the fans in Vancouver."
Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson not a Vancouver Canucks Practice
Even though it sounds like good news, that the injuries don't seem to be to threatening, when the Vancouver Canucks took the ice today for practice after blowing a 4-1 lead to the Kraken, fans got worried.
Both Pettersson's and Hughes were both missing once again.
For all those who are concerned, we are here to tell you to not be.
Even if Pettersson and Hughes are ready to return to action, it just makes sense to give them an extra days rest, especially if they did not play yesterday against the Kraken.
The Canucks only play Tuesday, so there is no purpose in taking the risk of aggravating an ailment further for practice.
