Patrik Allvin announces seven year deal for forward Jake Debrusk
The Canucks were expected to make a big splash on free agency and while many big targets have already signed, Patrik Allvin just placed a nice bet.
The Canucks announced the signing of the former first round pick Jake Debrusk. The winger will join the Canucks on a seven year deal worth $5.5M:
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Jake DeBrusk on a 7-year contract with a $5.5M AAV.
Great value addition for the Canucks with lots of upside. Debrusk is a 6'1'' and 200 pounds winger who plays with grit. Debrusk also has a knack for finishing around the net and will be a great addition to the Canucks' top six.
Debrusk scored over 25 goals on three occasions and could very well reach that plateau alongside the great playmaker that is Elias Pettersson.
The announcement of Debrusk's addition was the Canucks' first, but we should be expecting more given that they still have plenty of cap room to play with.
