Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin told season ticket holders this week that he is hoping to get something done with pending unrestricted free agent Brock Boeser.

With the Vancouver Canucks' season, the team's management group of Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford are continuing to look at all their options regarding the team's pending free agents.
The most notable free agent on the Canucks roster is Brock Boeser, who said back in April that he was probably heading to the open market on July 1st, but this week, Patrik Allvin told fans that he is hoping to get a deal done to keep the 28-year-old around.

Patrik Allvin tells fans he wants to get something done with Brock Boeser

During a season ticket holder event at Rogers Arena this week, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin had a Q&A with fans where he talked about a number of topics ranging from the feud between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson to Brock Boeser's future with the club.
In a video posted to X by @Dosange, Patrik Allvin expressed his desire to get a contract done with Brock Boeser before he becomes an unrestricted free agent at 9 am PT on Canada Day.
"We're going to see if there's a chance to keep Brock Boeser." Patrik Allvin said.
Rumors were swirling leading up to the trade deadline in early March about Brock Boeser being dealt by the Vancouver Canucks in order to recoup assets rather than having him walk for free in the summer, but 12 pm PT came and went without a move.
Patrik Allvin raised plenty of eyebrows when he told reporters that the value just wasn't there in a Brock Boeser trade and that people would be shocked if he mentioned what he was offered for the former 40-goal scorer.
Allvin and the Canucks ultimately stood pat at the deadline, holding onto Brock Boeser for a potential playoff run, which didn't materialize after the team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention a week before their schedule concluded.
If the Vancouver Canucks do want to get a contract done with Brock Boeser, it's not going to be cheap, but both sides are likely going to need to compromise a bit, including the pending UFA, who is reportedly seeking deal with 6+ year term.
In a recent contract projection released by AFP Analytics, they shared that Brock Boeser is in line for a contract in the range of $8.459 million annually for six years.
That potentially, could be a dollar figure and term that General Manager Patrik Allvin might have to consider going to over the next seven-plus weeks.
