Referees announced for Game 6 between Vancouver and Nashville
The Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators are set to do battle once again in Game 6 on Friday night and we now know who will be the officials for this evening's contest.
According to Jeff Paterson of Rink Wide Vancouver, Garrett Rank and Jean Hebert are tonight's referees, with Wes McCauley on standby in case of an injury.
"Garrett Rank and Jean Hebert listed as refs for #Canucks vs #Preds Game 6. Wes McCauley the standby official" Paterson said in a post on X.
Rank, a native of Elmira, Ontario, has been a referee in the National Hockey League for nearly nine years after making his debut in 2015 at the age of 27. Coming into the 2023-24 season, he's officiated over 500 regular season games and a handful of games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
As for Jean Hebert, he's the more experienced of the two referees for tonight's game and was apart of the officiating crew for the 2022 Stanley Cup Final between the Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Puck drop for tonight's game between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators is set for 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET on CBC and Sportsnet across Canada. With a win, the Canucks will advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to take on the Edmonton Oilers.
