The Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers have split the first two games of their second round series and for Rick Tocchet's squad, they haven't looked as good as we know they can be, despite winning Game 1.
With a crucial Game 3 taking place tomorrow night in Edmonton, Alberta, Rick Tocchet wants his team to re-take the series lead and it appears that he is considering making some line-up changes.
"Tocchet says Hoglander may sit. Aman, Podkolzin and Karlsson are all options. They'll have discussions tonight. Juulsen is a possibility too. #canucks" Murphy said.
Hoglander, 23, has appeared in all eight of Vancouver's games during the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs where he's put up one assist, four shots on goal, two penalty minutes and is a minus-two. The Bocktrask, Sweden native is only averaging 9:41 of ice time per game, so while he isn't playing a lot, it still may be worth making a change for Sunday's contest.
The Canucks and Oilers will meet in Game 3 tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET and can be viewed nationally across Canada on Sportsnet and CBC.
Do you think Tocchet should take Nils Hoglander out of the line-up for either Aman, Podkolzin or Karlsson? Let us know your thoughts in the poll below!
