Sidney Crosby Has Made His Decision on a Potential Trade to the Vancouver Canucks and Other NHL Teams

After months of rampant deadlines surrounding Sidney Crosby trade rumours, the Pittsburgh Penguins captain has finally opened up and made it clear where he wants to be moving forward.
Early on Sunday, a lot of these rumours came to the forefront when the Vancouver Canucks were named as a possible trade destination for Sidney Crosby, considering his successful connection to Canucks president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford.
There's the established relationship with Jim Rutherford and Patrik Allvin. Rutherford was Crosby's GM from 2015 through 2021, including back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships in 2015-16 and 2016-17

The chatter became too much where Sidney Crosby did his best to put to rest any rumours/truth that he might consider joining another NHL team other than the Pittsburgh Penguins at some point.
"There's a lot of narratives out there, and I don't think a lot of those have come from me," Crosby told reporters while delivering season tickets to fans Monday, per The Athletic's Josh Yohe. "This is where I want to be. I love it here."
When Crosby's agent Pat Brisson turned heads by stating that a trade involving the Penguins superstar is always a possibility, it only ramped up media outlets to run with the story and start coming up with destinations that make sense.

Crosby admitted Brisson's comments surprised him.
"I think Pat knows how much I put into this, how much I love it. How much I want to be in the playoffs," Crosby said. "Whether those quotes were taken for what they were or if there was a different question put into those quotes, I don't know the backstory. Pat and I didn't have a conversation prior to him talking."

As once said, the chances of Crosby ever suiting up for another club, let alone the Vancouver Canucks was a very low possibility, and the Penguins superstars' latest remarks clearly put those rumours to bed.
