The Canucks lost Thatcher Demko at the end of game one. Since then, the Canucks' backup, Casey DeSmith, has been taking over the crease for Vancouver. He did well during game two and even better during the team's first game in Nashville. The latest intel now suggests that the Canucks have been dealt an even tougher hand.

During his pre-game interview, the journalists asked the Canucks' pilot whether or not DeSmith was going to be the starter and Tocchet wouldn't commit:

Canucks coach Rick Tocchet declined to say whether Casey DeSmith will start in net this afternoon. He says they have some game-time decisions to make.

Tocchet added that he had game-time line-up decisions, and the hysteria unfolded from there.

Rick Tocchet says he has a line-up decision for #Canucks today for Game 4. Wouldn't reveal more than that

From Rick Dhaliwal to Elliotte Friedman, the NHL insider network suggests that Casey DeSmith's status is uncertain heading into game four. Some have even begun calling it Arturs Silovs' time:

Hearing it may be goalie-related.

The Canucks were already in shambles when it was announced that Demko would be out. If DeSmith ends up being sidelined, they'd have to put the rookie Arturs Silovs between the pipes. The rookie did well this year, recording big wins against notable adversaries and has valuable experience in high-stakes games. At last year's World Championships, Silovs carried the Latvians to a first-ever medal. Are you confident he can have the Canucks through game four?
