TSN makes a statement on former Canucks Henrik and Daniel Sedin
TSN has made a statement on former Vancouver Canucks forwards Henrik and Daniel Sedin.
Yesterday, July 28th, was an important day in Vancouver Canucks franchise history and a day that Henrik and Daniel Sedin will remember for the rest of their lives.
In a post on social media on Sunday afternoon, TSN and BarDown shared that it was the 25th anniversary of Henrik and Daniel Sedin signing their first-ever professional contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
"25 years ago today, Daniel and Henrik Sedin signed their first professional hockey contracts with the Vancouver Canucks. 😳✍️
They would go on to become one of the most legendary sibling duos in NHL History. 🏒"
The Sedin twins were drafted second and third overall by the Vancouver Canucks back in 1999 and went on to spend 17 seasons with the organization until their retirement following the 2017-18 campaign.
Both Henrik and Daniel Sedin had their numbers 33 and 22 retired by the Vancouver Canucks in February 2020 and two years later, they were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, alongside their longtime teammate, Roberto Luongo.
With the Sedin twins set to take on a bigger role for the Vancouver Canucks next season and will help out with the team's powerplay units.
