Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser has expressed his frustration with the team's center position this season, with injuries continuing to cause problems.

The Vancouver Canucks are a little over 30% through their 2025-26 schedule and the club sits five points back of the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference and seven points back of the Vegas Golden Knights for third place in the Pacific Division.
While inconsistent play is a big reason for their lack of success this season, injuries have been a big issue for the Vancouver Canucks, especially down the middle as Adam Foote's group currently has Teddy Blueger and Filip Chytil - two middle six centermen - on the sidelines.
Vancouver's injury situation has been frustrating for the club, especially for forward Brock Boeser who spoke about that in a recent interview with Sportsnet's Iain MacIntyre.

When speaking with Iain MacIntyre this week, Brock Boeser expressed his frustration about the team's injury situation and how hard it's been for the group, especially when trying to gain chemistry with his teammates, some of whom, including Conor Garland, are now out of the lineup.
"That's the definition of this year. I mean, it's hasn't been the greatest of luck. And finally, when you start to get some confidence, something like this happens." Boeser said.

As it's been for several members of the Canucks roster, Brock Boeser hasn't had the year he was hoping for with just nine goals and 16 points in 24 games, with the Burnsville, Minnesota native knowing he needs to step up and find a way to put the puck in the back of the net for his team.
"I do feel like I've been making a lot of plays - more so than in past years when I was playing with J.T. (Miller) all the time. That was a little different. I do feel like I've created a lot of stuff, but I don't think I have a secondary assist yet. They're all primary, which is crazy. But, I mean, it doesn't really change anything. Like, I've got to shoot the puck. I know I need to score goals for our team. . . and it doesn't matter who's in the middle. I've got to show up and try to have a good game and try to produce and not get scored on." Boeser said.

The Canucks are going to rely on Brock Boeser heavily over the next several weeks as they try to climb into a playoff spot before the NHL's holiday break later this month.
Boeser will get that opportunity to step up and produce tonight as the Vancouver Canucks wrap up their four-game road trip with a stop in Denver against the NHL-leading Colorado Avalanche, a team that he's picked up 17 points in 20 games against in his career.
