Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser opened up recently about his offensive struggles throughout the 2025-26 season and where he's at heading into 2026.
There's no beating around the bush, this season for the Vancouver Canucks has been awful as Adam Foote's group sits 15th in the Western Conference and 31st in the NHL's overall standings with a record of 16-20-4 through 40 games.
"I think once the shot is across the bow to a veteran [Jake DeBrusk], I think all veterans have to be on notice and if it happens to Brock Boeser, Brock can't sit there and say 'I'm shocked, I didn't see this coming'. He just watched a guy that's basically in the same sort of slump as he is. A guy that is paid in the same ballpark and a guy who is expected to do what Brock Boeser is supposed to do." Jeff Paterson said about the potential for Brock Boeser to be a healthy scratch.

However Boeser's new contract hasn't looked great so far, as mentioned he has just nine goals on the season and he hasn't scored since November 28th against the San Jose Sharks.
"It's been tough - my confidence has been pretty low. We talk about these slumps and the only way out of it is hard work and trusting the process." Boeser said.
He added, "I feel like I've still had a lot of chances, I just haven't put the puck in the net. That's on me. I have to find ways to bear down and find a way to put the puck in the net. It's definitely been hard to stay positive, but it comes down to the work. And I think when you put the work in, you'll get bounces."
Boeser will get his next opportunity to break his goalless streak on Saturday night as the Vancouver Canucks welcome the Boston Bruins to town for their lone trip to Rogers Arena this season. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. PT on CBC and Sportsnet as part of Hockey Night in Canada.
