Shocking Turn of Events as Brock Boeser Signs Long-Term Deal with the Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Brock Boeser to a long-term contract on Tuesday morning, which comes as a major surprise to many across the hockey world.
30 minutes into the opening of the National Hockey League's free agent window, Brock Boeser has made his decision and he is remaining with the Vancouver Canucks long-term.

In a post on social media today, NHL insider Chris Johnston revealed that the Vancouver Canucks have agreed to terms on a seven-year contract worth $50.75 million ($7.25 million AAV) with Brock Boeser.
"Brock Boeser signs a seven-year extension with #canucks carrying a $7.25M AAV" Johnston said.
Boeser, a native of Burnsville, Minnesota, has spent his entire career with the Vancouver Canucks, appearing in 554 games where he's registered 434 points (204 goals, 230 assists), 142 peanlty minutes and is a minus-33.
After trade rumors in March and reports that he'd be leaving this summer, Vancouver Canucks fans are very happy that Brock Boeser has decided to stick around and got a longer term than was initially offered by Patrik Allvin early on in the 2024-25 season.
